Job Summary:

    The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading the team in managing the logistics processes as well as monitoring the operational performance levels of the shipping and receiving department.

    What You’ll Do:

        • Directly supervise employees in Shipping and Receiving.
        • Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
        • Responsible for both employee safety as well as food safety. Actively involved in; coaching employees on all aspects of performing their duties in the safest manner possible for both personal safety and food safety.
        • Conducts regular Employee Communication Meetings.
        • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
        • Manage the organization of Shipping and Receiving.
        • Supervises the activities of Shipping and Receiving Clerks to maintain a smooth flow of work.
        • Maintain daily objectives and ensure work goals are met in a timely and effective manner.
        • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
        • Engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation is complete and included.
        • Perform other duties as assigned.

        Qualifications & Skills:

        • Warehouse experience preferred.
          • 3+ years working in a supervisor role.
          • 1+ year working in food manufacturing.
          • Excellent change management skills

          • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
          • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
